Join the #DearBucuti Love Letter Campaign and Celebrate 37 Years of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort

This October 19th, 2024, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba, marks 37 years of creating unforgettable moments for guests from all over the world. In true Bucuti style, this celebration focuses on the heart of the resort: our cherished guests. Over the years, Bucuti & Tara has had the honor of being part of countless unforgettable life moments, from surprise engagements and honeymoons to intimate weddings and milestone anniversaries. To commemorate this special anniversary, we are inviting guests to share their love stories through the #DearBucuti love letter campaign.

Love letters: 37 Visits and 20 Years Later

For nearly four decades, Bucuti & Tara has welcomed guests into its warm embrace, becoming part of their life stories. One such story is that of Philip and Christine Stuart from New Hampshire, who recently made their 37th visit to Bucuti & Tara—a testament to their deep connection with the resort. This trip also celebrated their 40th visit to Aruba, having first visited the island in 1985.

In recognition of their loyalty, the Aruba Tourism Authority honored the Stuarts as Emerald Ambassadors during a special ceremony held in the resort’s picturesque courtyard overlooking Eagle Beach. Surrounded by island and resort members, the couple received their certificate from ATA representative Mr. Jorgino Willems, alongside Bucuti & Tara’s Owner/CEO Ewald Biemans and Resort Manager Rik van der Berg. When reflecting on their love for Aruba and Bucuti & Tara, Philip and Christine fondly recalled what keeps them coming back—relaxing on the beach, the warmth of the Caribbean, island dining and their appreciation of Bucuti Associates.

The Stuarts shared that their love for Bucuti & Tara includes “swimming in that wonderful ocean all day! We can’t get enough of it and it is truly paradise!” and that of their most recent visit, “our most cherished memories are relaxing under Bucuti's bright white umbrellas as we look out to Eagle Beach and the beautiful blue/green Caribbean Sea! Also, we have the most beautiful view of the Bucuti Resort and beach from our balcony!”

Another remarkable story comes from Dr. Patrick and Mrs. Karen Jeanmenne, who returned to Bucuti & Tara to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. The couple honeymooned at the resort when the Tara Penthouses first debuted. “We wanted this celebration to be truly special, and returning to the place where we spent our honeymoon was a no-brainer,” Karen said. Their shared memories flooded back as they recounted their breathtaking ocean view and intimate Romantic Beach Dinner, a particular favorite of Patrick’s. “Our experience of the first visit was amazing, but the second one was even more amazing if that is even possible. Here are some pictures from our honeymoon there 20 years ago and from our current trip.”

The Jeanmennes appreciated how Bucuti & Tara has maintained its character and commitment to sustainability, stating, “The entire sustainability program and the way Mr. Biemans wants to keep everything green is amazing. We want to see our kids come to Bucuti with their partners one day.” Each story from Bucuti & Tara guests weaves into the fabric of the resort’s rich legacy, and the passion reflects in the resort’s impressive 97% year-round occupancy.

You’re invited to share your #DearBucuti love story

As Bucuti & Tara celebrates our 37th anniversary, we invite guests to reflect on their own experiences. Whether your stay led to deepening a relationship, discovering a new passion,  creating lasting memories, or even the arrival of one of our sweet #BucutiBabies, every experience matters and we’d be honored to receive your story..

Bucuti & Tara’s own origins stem from a love letter of commitment from our Founder, Owner/CEO Ewald Biemans. With a deep dedication to people, place, and planet, he envisioned a resort that would offer exceptional hospitality while preserving Aruba’s natural beauty. This commitment has made Bucuti & Tara the Caribbean’s first certified carbon-neutral hotel and one of Tripadvisor’s Top 25 Best Hotels in the World.
